Most of the information is taken from the "Area Codes" stack that Apple includes with System 6.0.4. The area codes are for the U.S. and Canada. The "Time Zone" field lists both American zones (Eastern, Central, Mountain, etc.) and Greenwich Merian Times. The "Cities" field lists most of the major cities in the selected area code.
You can use DAtabase's search functions to search for data in any of these fields, or use DAtabase Builder to restructure the database to better fit your needs. Of course, you'll need DAtabase to make use of this file.
Pretty simple stuff, but it does the trick if you need it.
